Established in the Lompoc Valley of Central California in 1977, our non-profit organization offers membership

to all plant enthusiasts.

Purposes

  • Learn about plants native to the California Central Coast

  • Increase public interest in our local Burton Mesa Chaparral Garden

  • Stimulate interest in gardening with locally propagated plants

  • Sponsor displays of living plants in public places

  • Co-sponsor projects with other organizations

LVBHS is a non-profit 501(c)(5), listed in the California Registry of Charitable Trusts, and a member of California Garden Clubs, Inc., the largest non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer gardening organization in the State.​​​
